Well, Joe Pass originally plaid on Epiphone long before he switched to Gibson. And I can tell you that the Epiphone Elitist models are not one slice worse than their Gibson counterpart. The Korean models are a bit over-glorified. I have plaid the Korean and the recent Chinese version. And man I can tell you Epiphone China has made tremendous efforts and big steps to have a superb tone and a fine quality. But in the end it is the player who makes the instrument sound. In this case, it is just WOW!
The Epiphone Joe Pass is known as a great value guitar, and is played often by folks with other far more expensive models. I'm one of them. Bigsby B7 installed, kicks hard.
@@hanatyan302302 Is that track made by you from scratch? It is magnificent. Would be cool if you have done like 6 minute version of it! It reminds me of this track ruclips.net/video/wEp0JX5TRqQ/видео.html
Warm and nice sound :) is it very big? I am considering a smaller jazz guitar. I know the AG models from Ibanez might be good, but I like this one too.
The world needs more small-size jazz guitars... This one actually is 16" wide, its considered mid-size for an archtop, not big , and not the small one. Ofcourse this gentlemen in the video seems to be asian, so it looks like a cello on him, just depends from person to person. Ibanez GB models are 15" (i think its smaller than LGB) but they have floating mini-humbockers, thats something to consider. Also Ibanez AG models are 15" also. But, if you are rich and have money to spend you can try 15" Eastman, or Peerless Maestro 15" , etc. if your budget is 5k+ it is possible to find a cool little, luthier-made jazz guitar but for us, poor people - there are not so many options
I can't believe the tone quality in this inexpensive guitar. Amazing!
